Blueweather consultants have over 20 years experience in the internet applications industry. Over that time we have developed applications and tools for major blue-chip companies, high street brands and security cleared government contracts. Here is a selection of them.

We were taken on to assist with the design and development of a suite of insurance websites where customers could buy insurance. During the engagement, we developed insurance websites for Axa Insurance, Greebee insurance, John Lewis Insurance, Marks & Spencer Insurance, Countrywide Insurance, also major aggregator feeds.

We were called in to the Barclays technology centre in Cheshire to develop an intranet-based technology ordering system. This system was to replace a painfully slow and expensive paper-based system, which required a whole team of paper-shufflers. The app automated authorisation and raising the orders with the appropriate systems.

Aviva called us in to assist with the development of a web-based portal for their existing customers, where users could log-in, see their policy details, cancel or amend policies and change their personal information. This site was developed using the lightweight Microsoft MVC technology stack using viewmodels.

When Axa purchased Swiftcover Insurance, the team which had worked on the existing Axa insurance websites was sent to the Cobham offices of Swiftcover to work on new products and integration between the two companies. A new product for Countrywide Insurance was developed on the new joint system.

Blueweather has been engaged on multiple projects for the computing, admissions and planning departments of the University of Essex. These projects ranged from producing a public XCRI-CAP feed for aggregators, to producing SSRS reports for Business Intelligence and Key Performance Indicator reports.

We were called in to work for energy company Haven Power to assist with the generation of a suite of tools to enable them to adjust customer prices on a set of criteria. This work was business critical and had to be developed under tight timescales. Associated Business Information reporting was developed.

Large environmental services company Veolia called us in to assist with developing tools to assist with the migration of their accountancy system to a SAP-based system in Paris. Using he Microsoft MVC suite, migration and monitoring tools were developed which were used in the successful migration.

The international defence and civil company Thales called us in to work on a few of their client developments. During this engagement, we worked on a web-based security system for London Undergound and two resource management systems for two of their retail clients, Rileys and Tenpin.

Large pharmaceutical company Gilead called us in to assist with the migration of an existing internal ordering system from ASP to Dot Net. At their Cambridge technology centre, we re-engineered their existing legacy ordering system into a more modern framework.

We have been engaged multiple times by this Microsoft Gold Partner software and integration house situated by the harbour in Ipswich. These engagements were to work on systems for some of their clients. From cargo terminal companies, through power companies, the contracts are always varied and interesting.

We were called in to assist with a major re-design of the popular car pricing and motor review site. As the site was associated with a popular print publication, presentational standards were high, and while there we developed a 'carbon tyreprint' calculator and an instant insurance quote service.

Hoseasons were re-vamping their website, and required Microsoft expertise to complete the project. This work involved integrating with their backend booking system, and creating CMS interfaces for booking staff to enter deals of the week. During our engagement, we developed a map-based locator based on Michelin maps.

Repeat engagements with the Hull-based telecommunications company Kingston Communications allowed us to develop middleware solutions for their Wholesale Line Rental project, as well as a suite of internal applications for back-office processes. These tools were written in the Microsoft suite of development tools.

We were called in to assist on the re-work of some transformation software requierd to deliver a government project for the Family Courts in the UK. This work required legal governance, and was vital to the eventual delivery of the courts documentation system in a timely mannner.

We were called in to work on fibre technology modelling, where networks and systems were being simulated to enable BT to cost up and ensure the running capacity for their Fibre To the Home and Fibre to the Kerb projects. This work encompassed modelling of traditional and radio telephony.
